Boyhood is a coming of age movie that follows the life of Mason Jr. as he grows up over a period of 12 years. It starts in 2002 where Mason Jr. is six years old seems like a curious kid spraying graffiti under a bridge with his friends. An iconic scene during this period of the movie is when Mason Jr. overhears his mother and her boyfriend arguing about her kids, Mason Jr. realizes how much responsibility he is putting on his mother’s social life. After a while his mother comes home with the news that they are moving to Huston, Mason Jr. doesn’t like the idea and refuses it but the fact that he is going to see his father changes a bit in his mind.
