They go on anyway, and Robert Shaw knows something about his commanding officers that he uses to get them in their first minor battle in South Carolina, one that proves victorious. A character that impacted me the most is Robert Gould Shaw. One of a couple reasons he impacted me the most is by always showing respect to his fellow soldiers which made me feel like I need to become more respectful to my friends and family. Another way Robert Shaw impacted me was Robert's good leadership which made me feel like I should maybe become a better role model to my younger sisters. Robert also impacted me by making me feel to never give up no matter if you're afraid because quitting lasts forever. Robert also made me feel like taking advantage of any good opportunity that comes your way, for example Robert was offered to be a colonel to a regiment of colored soldiers he accepted the role and became a colonel,the regiment was called to 54th.
Robert Gould Shaw was a man born from a wealthy family in boston. Robert Gould Shaw was appointed colonel of the 54th Massachusetts volunteer infantry, this was the first all black regiments in the Union army during the civil war. Shaw first struggles with his own prejudices and doubts the ability of black soldiers to fight well in the war. “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell is a story about a man, Sanger Rainsford, whose ideals and overall character change throughout the story, specifically about hunting, due to his encounter with General Zaroff. At the beginning of the story Rainsford is a stuck up man. He could not care less about any other living things other than humans. He believes all living wildlife are expendable and only there for his pleasure of hunting. During the story Rainsford has to make many quick and overall difficult decisions during his encounters with the ocean, General Zaroff, and the island wilderness to survive, that change how he thinks about animals.
