Brief Story Of The Sluggers Fans

A majority of people in society follow along with what is happening around them. Sluggers fans are not the same. They're fans because that is what they were born into, always knowing that they were Sluggars fans. It is inevitable that people will choose their someone the relate to or they see as an important impact on the team. When something happens to the team favorite, whether it be injury, family issues, or retirement the atmesphere of the fans completely changes. Boddlebrooks was the Sluggars fans' favorite. He was including, energized, and always happy to be playing baseball. Following the Sluggars win in 1907 he tragicly died in an horrific freak accident. Skidemore, Boddlebrooks brother was believed to be the guilty convict of his brothers murder. The text backs up this fact because of Skidemore's jealousy, the fact the Skidemore did not like bubblegum, and the reaction of Skidemore following his brothers death.

Skidemore created the famous pretzel that would later be sold at every baseball stadium except the Sluggars's stadium. The reason for this was because all the die heart Sluggar fans thought that an infamous poison pretzel was the reason for Boddlebrooks death. Paul Haven, the authour of "THe Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel" he explains, " No matter how Skidmore tried to win people over, nobody ever forgave him for giving his brother the suspicious snack."
