Whack! With one swift swing of a baseball bat, my friends prized baseball was ruined, I thought our friendship was over. About 5 years ago I wanted to play baseball with some of my friends but I didn't have a ball. I then asked my friends if they had one to spare. One of my best friends, Kevin said he had one. I was elated that we could finally play a game of baseball for the first time that spring. To my surprise, before he finally handed me the ball, he gave me a short speech. Kevin told me that this was his only ball and it was very special to him, it was the ball that was passed down from generations of his family until finally coming into his grasp. I said ok and told him I would be very careful with his prized possession. I did not think that he would be mad at me and I did not think he had a reason to, it was only an accident after all. After the trek to his house, he answered his door, saw the baseball and looked astonished. He furiously asked what happened and I explained all that happened. To my surprise he was very mad and told me that I was the worst friend ever and he never wanted to see me again. After that meeting I was equally angry and confused, I did not mean to rip the ball, I was also confused because he just seemed to get even more angry after I offered to buy him a new ball. If anything, I should be the one that was angry at him, his reaction was completely unreasonable and I did not mean to ruin the ball. In fact, it was probably more his fault, if it was his prized possession and he knew how fragile it was, why would he let a bunch of boys play baseball with it, I thought he was more to blame than me.
