The story takes place in the 1980’s during the summer. This time was important because if it was during the winter he would of had no chance for survival. it would have been too cold for him and the lake would have frozen so if he crashed into it he would have got hypothermia. The major conflict is when brian mom cheats on the dad and divorces him which lead to brian crashing in a plane.
The Murder of Bob Thé One morning, a person named Theo Nail came to Tiso Jock, the investigators saying that there was a murder at Jesus Christ Church. The police has already got there investigating the scene. Theo Nail asked me to investigate further and try to pick up clues or evidence. He told Tiso Jock that the person who got murdered was a guy named Bob Thé. Tiso Jock went to the scene and started investigating.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book it's written by Mike Lupica who writes other sport books like this one. It kept my attention the whole time and was one of the few books that I actually enjoyed. It was about this boy named Michael he was a all star pitcher on his baseball team. Both of his parents were died when he was young and he is living with his brother, eventually some coaches from other teams think he isn’t within the age limit to play and he can’t find his birth certificate to prove his age so he isn’t allowed to pitch. He has to try to find his birth certificate and has to try to get by without pitching.

In Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, thirteen-year-old Brian Robeson used all three after he is the only survivor of a plane crash in the Canadian wilderness. Brian adapts and grows because of his struggle to survive. As a result of the events, he changes from distressed in the beginning, to lonesome yet egotistical in the middle, to floored in the end.

An important event in Hatchet was when Brian made a raft and went out to the plane to get the survival kit. Brain had seen the plane out at the lake after the tornado, and He wanted to go out there and see want was on the plane. He was thinking about it then he remembered that the survival kit was out there so he really wanted to go and get it, but something bad happened. When he got out there he was hitting the side of the plane (which was very easy), but he dropped his hatchet. But he got it, and opened the plane and had seen the dead pilot.

At the beginning of the book, Bryan's parents were divorced and he went to meet his father for the first time after the divorce. The pilot was having a major heart attack when he was flying the airplane.

Well Hatchet is a children’s book, and because of the heart it made the book more realistic, so because of this he encouraged kids to read. Paulsen changed his life and impacted his country by a sad heart attack; finally let’s move on to Melba

He is seventeen and he also likes to help his friends in any way possible, even if it means fighting other people and even scary clowns.
