` Frankenstein Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein begins being told by Robert Walton a sailor when he finds a lost traveler in need of help. This lost traveler turns out to be Dr. Victor Frankenstein, the story begins when Dr. Frankenstein tells Robert Walton the story of the last few years of his life. He began as an eager scientist excited about all of the possibilities of his mind and what it could create. The Doctor begins an experiment that consists of making life in a being he will create. After much research Frankenstein is successful in creating life, however instead of being satisfied with his creation he is instead horrified of the monster he created. Frankenstein suspects the murder is what he fears most, his monster. At this point we get to hear the monster’s perspective during the time after Frankenstein flees. After being left in the castle alone the monster wanders to neighboring town and is not received well by the townspeople. As the monster travels he is reminded of his hideous for by all that see him; he is awarded no help in his journey so he learns to provide for himself. The monster finds a family he studies from a distance and observes their behavior. From the family he learns how to speak, read and some basic human customs; he calls this family his “protectors”. He becomes emotionally attached to this family and decides despite his horrendous for he wanted to meet them. When the family did not receive him well he became very angry and cursed Doctor Frankenstein for creating him. The monster goes on to kill people that were close to Dr. Frankenstein as a sort of revenge and wager. The monster precedes to as Dr. Frankenstein for a female friend and in return he would stop killing Frankenstein's friends. Frankenstein does not comply to the monster’s commands and the two live out the rest of their lives trying to get revenge on the other for the wrongs each
