The meaning of Bronx Masquerade is that especially in high school, always be yourself and don’t change for other people. Bronx Masquerade refers to New York where the story takes place and the 18 students that are trying to express who they truly are.
Some people in high school are pretending to be at a big masquerade party. They wear masks pretending to be someone different from who they really are, and convince the people around them to see there mask as their true self. Many of the teenagers in the book Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes wore masks to hide who they really were. The students revealed their true identities and how they felt by writing and performing poetry on Open Mike Fridays in their English class. The main character, Tyrone Bittings, is a judgmental, confident, observant teen that reveals who he truly is through learning and listening to poetry.
All and All, A Bronx Tale was a very overwhelming movie that identifies numerous ethical dilemmas that a person may face throughout his or her lifetime. This movie deliberated on various ethical dilemmas like, Racial, Interracial Dating, Peer pressure, and several more. Even though, the movies focused on various different dilemmas I only focused on two “Racial and Interracial Dilemma”. In society today race and interracial dating is still an enormous topic that many people dislike to talk about. The movie demonstrated and provided moral example of the two topics “Racial and Interracial Dating”.

He has two paths to choose the legitimate way or the illegitimate way. His father, Lorenzo, who is played by Robert DeNiro is a hardworking man who works for a living. He always told Calogero also known as C (Lillo Brancato), “that nothing in the world is worse than wasted talent.” He always tried to listen to his father.

In How to Read a Poem, Eagleton gives the following definition of a poem: ‘A poem is a fictional, verbally inventive moral statement, in which it is the author who decides where the lines should end’. In this definition, the main matters are ‘fictional’, ‘verbal inventiveness’ and ‘morality’. How to Read a Poem gives many explanations and examples of these matters that are discussed in his definition. Fiction, morality and verbal inventiveness all work together to help the author decide where the lines should end. Eagleton’s definition includes the aspect of poetry being fictional.
