Being an accidental invention, the world could have easily been culturally different if it had never been made. Bubble gum isn't generally regarded as life changing, but if someone was to take a closer look at the impacts made by it, they would be blown away by how gum has really shaped the world and trends today. The Topps Corporation developed their highly popular “Bazooka” bubble gum in 1947 and began wrapping pieces in small comic strips, featuring the character of Bazooka Joes in 1953.” Gum had now entered a new world, a new generation of growth and popularity, and was a key factor in several important trends and cultures.
