In the essay “Even Nine-Month-Olds Choose Gender-Specific Toys,” Jennifer Goodwin acknowledges the possibility of gender being innate, as a research showed that “even 1-day-old boys spent longer looking at moving, mechanical options than 1-day-girls, who spent more time looking at faces” (89). However, she claims that even actions this early in life may already be influenced by the parents’ different treatments, which start almost instantly after their child is born. Goodwin states that, even when their children are still infants, parents tend to show more affection towards girl than boys, who are dealt with in a more active and playful manner, which could explain the findings of the research mentioned. This difference in treatments is later

Although most of the ‘brutal’ techniques in getting the girls being beautiful are not permanent fixes like plastic surgery, they still alter the outside appearance in order to feature the girl’s inner beauty. The makeover techniques are used to bring the child closer to the ideal idea of being beauty. Toddlers & Tiaras provides a prime example of the quest for fame and celebrity status. Many of the child who compete in the pageant would dress up as celebrities, even going for extreme measures to make sure they look like the exact replica of the celerity, just a miniaturise version. The push towards celebrity means that children spend less time being children and more time working for the works of reality television.
During the two 30 min periods that I observed at Swett-Winters, I saw the children engaging in different social studies practices. The type of activity’s that they did for economics are selling play-do ice-cream cones, they “produced” more ice cream. One child pretended to be a cashier with this adorable little plastic cash register. It had fake money in it. After someone handed him money he would push buttons and pretend to fill a paper bag with their groceries.
Children who are skilled and physically good at building things will have excellent gross motor and cognitive skills, such as playing with Lego. Children will think about what they want to build, how they will build it, what resources and help from others they will need to complete the build and plan what colours to use, to achieve the finished product. All of these
From the moment they are born, children are precious and deserve to be treated with uttermost care. They are vulnerable and as they grow, they spend a lot of time discovering and learning new stuff. Parents should be careful because during this period, what the child learns, sticks for the rest of their life. It is said that the environment has a way of shaping the life of children. We don't want our children to grow up with bad influence and that's why we should as parents invest in bringing up our children in an environment that bring out the best in them.
Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen was highly criticized for undeniably demonstrating woman’s issues in the 19th century. While the play doesn’t change setting much at all, Ibsen clearly focuses in on the characterization of three insightful characters: Mrs. Linde, Nora, and Helmer. Mrs. Linde is a minor character; however, that doesn’t alter her effect on the play. She provides the mold for the perfect, idealized wife. Nora, the main character, develops rapidly in the play, and her character is a stark contrast to Mrs. Linde.
Even if you’re not involved in their play it offers a sense of reassurance to children. You can also support a play based approach to learning by encouraging children to play with things they may not have played with before e.g playing with the resource yourself alongside the child. If a child sees what you can do with the resource then they are more likely to eventually participate along side you, copying what you are doing. 4.3 Evaluate different materials and equipment to support play based learning opportunities for children in their early years

I visited a preschool program in the City of Commerce that is called Tiny Toots for my observation #2. These preschoolers go to school three times a week for two hours. Their ages approximate from four to five years old. I will describe in this observation the "instructional approach to literacy" in the class. I will also analyze and observe the ways children "read it to you" Classification Scheme.
I could not forget the excitement I had waking up in the morning and running straight to the Lego structures deciding how to build a certain structure and a daydream I had of imagining of actual being built in real life. / deciding how to build a certain structure. The snapping and fitting of bricks, rods and gears captivated me for countless hours. Every Lego brick I laid down furthered my interest in designing and engineering.
Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, when first judged by its cover title, strikes the reader as very interesting and starts a multitude of inquires of why the title is so named. When one thinks of a doll’s house, most often, a cute and small, perfectly run and ordered, young girl’s favorite toy comes to mind. Everything is peaceful. A feeling of happiness runs through the air in such a way that no one would expect anything to go wrong. In A Doll’s House, a well-furnished living room is the setting of the entire play.

Blossom Hill Nursery School, an Experience in Infant Education The school of my choice is Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia considering that they teach with a Christian worldview. While I already contribute to my community and my church, having a teaching degree from Liberty University Online will strengthen my Christian values, broaden my knowledge base, and equip me with the skills necessary to impact my sphere of influence. Already a small business owner, my desire is to pursue an early childhood education degree, so that I can own and manage my own infant nursery school. I follow a generation of teachers-- my grandmother, my mother, and my sister. Since teachers do not earn that much money, not much has been saved for my college funds.
