Caleb Strong was born on January 9, 1745 in Northampton. Strong graduated from Harvard in 1764 with the highest honors. He studied law and was admitted into the MAssachusetts bar in 1772. Strong was successful in his career, so he got the opportunity to be be boosted as county attorney. In 1783, he had the option to take a position on the state supreme court, but made the decision to reject it. Strong married Sara Hooker in 1777, and had a family of nine children. His role during the American Revolution was attorney of Hampshire County on the Northampton Committee of Safety. In the Constitutional Convention, Strong was a delegate and one of the many others who preferred for a country to obtain a strong and secure central government. Strong
