The Wood Oaks Board of Education voted a referendum on the to build a new elementary school and middle school; Superintendent Lindsey Smith asked the board to approve a $3.3 million building program for the district, the money would be used for the new buildings. The middle school would be built in the central part of town and would serve two elementary schools now feeding into Wood Oaks Middle School. The Board voted four-two to place the issue as a referendum on the November general election ballot. Voting for placing the referendum on the ballot were Jones, Katie McCormack, Matthew O’Malley, and Joseph Sister.
I will be spending the 2016-17 academic year teaching Chemistry at James Irwin Charter High School. My responsibilities at James Irwin do not stop with teaching – I also manage the science department and am at the forefront of health and wellness efforts across all four James Irwin Charter campuses (not to mention all of the unwritten tasks of a teacher). In managing the science department, I collaborate in curriculum meetings, coordinate weekly lab inspections, support the success of my colleagues, and oversee all purchase orders. Working at James Irwin has taught me valuable workplace ediquette. The most practical example of that involves teamwork.

The location that I chose to visit was parking lot 10 at Sacramento State. I visited the location on a Friday morning. The mass wasting was found in front of parking lot entrance. The waste from the area was transported to the back of the parking lot. It was evident that mass wasting had occurred because there was mass moved that had then been vegetated to cover the slope.
Khristy Hernandez 1AB Mrs.Carroll Place: Seabourn Elementary School, 1st graders Time: 4 hours and 14 minutes The point for this observation was to ask my mentor ‘ What has been the biggest challenge for her in relation to providing accommodations?’ And ‘ How she overcame that challenge?’ Her biggest challenge in relation to providing accommodations is the fact that you need to customize each kid's needs, like homeschooling, free lunch, and getting teachers to take out kids out of class for 15 minutes just to help them get better at reading or anything else.
Amber Renslow 10/03/17 English 101 In “Fremont High School”, Jonathan Kozol discusses the many issues facing students and staff at Fremont High. He discusses the school’s failure to provide the students with what they need to succeed academically. Kozol is able to create a powerful essay by using first hand accounts and court records to expose the problems that affect students at Fremont High School. Kozol’s use of quotes aids in creating a strong piece by showcasing the problems that students and staff find most important to them.
The Mission Meritas group had good intentions improving Rancho Solano Schools after they bought it in 2007; however, they didn’t take in consideration the huge impact these changes were going to have in the organization and stakeholder. Members of the organization and stakeholders began to receive mix signals when they decided to change the name of the school from “Rancho Solano Private School” to “Rancho Solano Preparatory School”; however, they understood a new organization took over and they were trying to develop their own identity. Other organizations noticed potential to succeed and moved in the area around 2011, this affected the Mission Meritas group because they took in some of their students. Then, five years later (2012) the Mission Meritas group decided to close two campuses (Union Hills campus and Missouri campus) allegedly due to the low enrollment.
They have a myriad of state qualifiers, two District 10 titles, one metro title, and four regional titles. I feel I would have more of a chance of earning scholarships to colleges when I get older. I observed my son, Orion, during story time with his father, Louis. Orion just turned four in October. He is currently attending early intervention for speech and social delays at the Catherine Dodge Brownell School in the Bronx, and had began his attendance there at the end of the last school year. Every night Orion is read to before bed. This night was his father’s turn to read.

Throughout the course of my study, I have developed a strong interest in biotechnology and the health industry; it is thus my hope to pursue a legal education that will enable me to participate in and even bring changes to their regulatory systems. UVA attracts me with its strong health law program. I especially appreciate the extensive collaboration between UVA Law and the other medical institutions of the university. In A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, Owen tries to convince Mr. Morrison, the mailman, to play the Ghost of Christmas Future in the Christmas Pageant and is disinclined because he feels his part would not be scary enough. At that moment, Owen drops a bomb on him and tells him that “THERE’S NOTHING AS SCARY AS THE FUTURE” (Irving 195). He then proceeds to describe to him the recent events of what has happened, his premonition of his fate, and his faith that God has a role for him and that he must oblige. Even though Owen’s reason for telling Mr. Morrison his beliefs is to convince him to play the role, the quote is still impactful and visible in the lives of many high school students and especially my life. The state of California has a rich history, and is also currently one of the leading states in agriculture. It contains a wide array of geographic features, varying from mountains to deserts, with lush, fertile farmland in between. The Mexicans fought to gain control of California from the Spanish, but soon lost it to the European settlers. When war erupted between Mexico and the settlers for control of California, the end result was California gaining Statehood with the United States. The Gold Rush of 1949 brought unprecedented prosperity.
I was surrounded by a close, caring and loving community. I began to see the endless opportunities my education could offer me. Through setting up a pathway filled with challenging honor classes and CTE classes that interested me, I truly began to care for my academics. Every teacher encouraged me to be the best I could be. During my time at Midway, I learned a lot of responsibility and took pride in my work.
What excites you about attending Notre Dame? So many things excite me about Notre Dame, but if I had to narrow it down to one specific thing, it would be Notre Dame 's culture. By this, I mean that Notre Dame has the best sense of culture compared to any other university, and this culture centers around the Catholic faith and spans all the way out to the pride in its football team. The Catholic faith truly brings me close to home since I am a cradle Catholic and have loved the faith since I was born.
