Plot twists! Action-packed! Adventure into the unknown! Suspense at every corner! Undying loyalty! These are just a few things you experience when you read The Call of the Wild by Jack London. If you do choose to read The Call of the Wild, you will feel the many emotions that Buck experiences, receive knowledge from the book, and relate to the protagonist, Buck. All in all, I really recommend The Call of the Wild to you.
As I said before, you will feel many emotions for the main character, Buck. When the story is introduced, you see Buck (a dog) in a pleasurable state, but he then gets kidnapped from his home and shipped to the Klondike for the 1896 Gold Rush. Slowly, you will feel the depression and weakness starting to overcome Buck. While the story continues, you will feel morose when Curly gets killed and complete rage against Spitz. Also, you’ll experience Buck’s love for John Thornton and his utter madness when his master (John Thornton) is murdered. In this book, you will see Buck’s transformation from tamed dog to savage wolf. Those are some emotions that you will rarely find in other books, that will be in this book.
