Denise Morrison (Morrison) has been CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Campbell Soup Company since 2011; in the few years she has been in charge she has made some drastic changes to the 145 year old company. Morrison is a Strategic thinker, her plan for Campbell Soup is to create a new innovative culture that would address the changes in the marketplace, get better results, and deliver shareholder value (Marcus, 2014). Dienel asked; “What kind of leadership is required today to create a resilient future (Dienel, 2015)?” Morrison responded in a very simple way, “Leaders today need to lead for the front (Dienel, 2015).” Meaning they have to have values of character, have the upmost integrity, have competence, and work great in a team setting. Yet the number one thing a leader must have is the courage to change or take a stand (without wavering) of purpose; so to set the agenda and the vision and follow through with it. Well did you know CSC is more than just soups, they own several different companies that make up the brand of CSC. There are Pepperidge Farms, Bolthouse Farms, Plum Organics, Campbell Chunky, V8, Swanson, Pace, Prego, SpaghettiO’s, and Kelsen Group just in the United States (Campbell Soup Company, 2015). Each one of those brands are part of CSC; each play a role in how the company profits and how it is run. Morrison is CEO over all of CSC making sure that they are doing everything they can do to revamp their companies to continue to make a profit in the ever changing
