Underwriting refers to the process of issuing insurance. The process of underwriting involves the underwriter evaluating the risk and potential exposure of a potential insured. While evaluation is going on the underwriter will decide how much coverage the applicant should receive and how much of premium the insured must pay for meeting the particular amount of premium

Career path
The career of insurance underwriter can be started from a bachelor’s degree. After getting a degree then they can start training under a senior certified underwriter. Trainees will be working on a basic application and learn the basic common risk factors. After earning a fair amount of experience. The next step is to get licensed. After getting the license, they can start from a lower level job related to the field and as the person gains experience and they can build their career from there.
