Reaching all our goals is a great accomplishment, as well as furthering our education to compete for a great job. My main accomplishment is to graduate from Stanislaus State and find a great agency that will provide what I’m looking for. I’ve researched six potential agencies that interest me and that can be a great fit. The FBI, Turlock Police Department, Stan Co Sheriff, CHP, Probation and Cordical Psychological Clinic these agencies caught my attention and possibility of a future employment opportunity.

When I was truck driving, I would see the CHP driving all directions on all major highways enforcing highway safety. I loved to see how they interacted with truck drivers in weight stations and informing them with regulations and helping them to properly keep their logs books to DOT regulations. Their response time to big rig accidents was amazing seeing them work the traffic and ensuring that the drivers were ok and providing emergency assistance if needed. The California Highway Patrol was created in 1929 to provide uniform traffic law enforcement throughout the state. Assuring the safe, convenient and efficient transportation of people and goods on our highway system is still our primary purpose. The requirements to become an CHP Cadet is you must be between 20-35 years of age, clean background and a high school diploma. To take part of the academy aspiring applicants must pass the written exam as well as the physical agility. The applicant must also go through a panel interview as well as pass the polygraph exam prior to being admitted to the academy. New cadets will travel to their regional academy for an 18 month of training preparing them for law enforcing policies. Cadets will also be trained in vehicle maneuvering, case work, weapon training and daily physical training preparing them for the job. Being part of a great agency such, as the highway patrol fitting especially because of the interaction I’ve had with them in past due to my job.
