Law is a fundamental part of society. Without it, chaos would wreak havoc over everything. However, this law is often broken. Whether it be by people who don’t respect it or people who actively make efforts to break it. This is where prosecuting attorneys come in. They make constant efforts to take law-breaking citizens out of communities. In dedication, their lives are put towards helping victims and leaving dangerous people in prison. Prosecuting attorneys have always inspired me. They’re the superheroes of the legal world. Furthermore, they make the streets safer and the world a better place. Some common aspects of the job include prosecuting suspects, conducting investigations, offering plea bargains, litigating appeals, and attending trials. The hours of this career also vary. Although they may be in the office for a set time, several aspects of the job aren’t done in the office. For example, while working on complex cases, district attorneys often give up their weekends to deconstruct the case and prepare it for court. However, district attorneys do gain assistance from paralegals and other coworkers that collaborate with them. District attorneys are expected to have several years of experience before they’re appointed or elected into the position.
