I first learned about the career fair through a assignment I had to do for a class. We had to look up different types of information for the companies that were coming to the fair. Through this assignment I kind of got intimidated because the information that I was looking up was all new to me. My professors made the career fair seem scarier than it actually was. Many people were complaining about going to the career fair and were blowing it off. After that assignment I felt the same way but I am glad that I went. I learned many helpful hints to better myself for the next career fair. Before the career fair I updated my resume, printed out 10 copies, and practiced my SBI introduction. The representatives were not intimidating like i thought they were going to be. The representatives from Federal Corrections Institution were very relaxed. One of the people at the booths was a Business Administrator. She told me that before she was able to apply for her position she had to go through Correctional Officer training. I watch the show rookies and I saw what that training includes. I am hoping my internship at NASA works out. The ones from NASA knew my cousin that works there and also majored in my field. The International Paper representatives just graduated from college and told me that they enjoy their job. I never heard of International Paper before but I use their products every day. I also talked to the Hillsborough County Sheriffs and other companies. My top three companies are NASA, International Paper, and Federal Corrections Institution (FIC). I only talked to the companies from Florida I am not interested in moving outside the state of Florida at the moment. Through the career fair I learned about an internship through NASA that I will be applying for tomorrow. The internship is during the 2nd semester, I really hope that I get this
