As a student at Mountain Heritage High School, I started taking classes as a freshman to learn about architecture, interior designing, and landscape architecture. Second semester of my sophomore year, I wanted to become a Dental Hygienist. I started changing my schedules to classes that would help me in dental hygiene. Thankfully, I took a college class that would ease me into the medical field. It helped me to realize that Dental Hygiene is for me.
Students are expected to be involved, have friends, get a part-time job, and aim for a good night of sleep, all
I plan on obtaining my masters in nursing and becoming a neonatal nurse. Without taking science courses at River Valley, becoming a nurse would have never crossed my mind. As a sophomore I took biology where I learned about topics such as genetics and how different genes can affect an offspring. In chemistry I became fascinated with the idea of mixing different elements and chemicals to make something brand new and in anatomy I was taught about the skeletal, muscle and nervous systems which we were able to better see through
As I am quickly approaching the end of my senior, I am looking back at how far I have come since freshman year and everything that Henley High School has helped me accomplish in my life. In preparation for the life that every senior must experience after school, the senior capstone project was put in place to help seniors find out what they would suit them as career and give them some of the necessary tools in achieving that. Part of the capstone was earning service hours at a non profit organization, that can go on a resume. With serving came a facilitator, who guides one’s service, and also the challenges and success of the service itself. To Provide help on future careers, Henley High School also provided an opportunity to take the CIS test
Within the foundation of the program are the three domains: academic, career, and social/personal development. Within these domains are standards that describe what the student should be aware of, and as they develop should be able to do. Looking at the academic development domain
Sometimes just applying can open up a world of possibilities. Hershey High School senior Julia Corbin spends one or two hours everyday as an intern at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Thanks to the Health Career Explorations Program (HCEP), Corbin can experience the medical field upfront as a high school student and perhaps narrow her future job choices. Everyday from periods 3 to 5AB, Corbin follows a different nurse from a variety of fields. The fields can range from ophthalmology, psychology, to music therapy.

An example would be how they all have a goal to look for healthcare professionals that will develop passion and understanding for the health career sector. The people present were able to clarify and explain what students can do to be able to take control of the opportunities available for each institution, some had internships, and some offered guidance for certificates as well as guidance for any resources that might exist that we might not know about which was
For almost three years now, I have been enrolled in the Health Science program at Manchester Community College in Manchester, NH. My intentions are to transfer to a four-year college for a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and then continue on to a Master’s degree. I would like to apply to Towson University as soon as I have accomplished all my entry requirements. If I can achieve these goals, I hope to be halfway through PA school and mastering all my courses in five years. I know that I said “if”, but Kaplan University has succeeded in ensuring that students like me have help with achieving their career goals. Kaplan University offers all their students access to career services. This department has a variety of strategies that will help me accomplish my career goals.
The reason why I want to be in the Health Career Pathway at Chase High School, for future careers. I have been not sure about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was wanting to go into the medical field but was not sure about it. I did not know what it was about or like what areas I wanted to be in or anything. 2016 summer I was accepted into the Teen Volunteer Program at Rutherford Regional Hospital.
Ever since grade school, I was passionate about working in the field of medicine, and science. I enjoyed anatomy, medical spelling and terminology, and reading about the healthcare industry. Because of my passion for healthcare, I decided to to attend Health Sciences High. There, I was given the best opportunities, such as, medical internships and college health courses. My plans and goals had turned me into a mature young adult.
At this time in our very lives we are planning for the future and making a ladder for ourselves of goals to reach. As you climb higher on the ladder you find yourselves aspiring to take actions that may be more difficult than we imagined. This is just the beginning and we do not give up. As the years come faster I made a list of the things that I am planning on persuing. My major career goal is to go into buisness, and within the buisness industry I want to become a Human Resources Manager.
