Other than that vague mention of colored people, there are no other references to
Throughout high school I have been employed by Adam Lozano and by Jose Zavala, or Zavala Pools. I have had the opportunity to work for Adam Lozano for the past two years. It either includes all women, or it’s not feminism” (Makers). She frequently reminds individuals that it was disproportionately women of color, especially black women, who created the feminist movement. She contends that erasing black women’s integral contributions disgraces the founders of the movement and eradicates the efforts of feminism’s true founding
The inclusion of minority groups as a theme for an exhibit would further expose the fact of Canada being a diverse and accepting nation. Visitors of my exhibit will leave with a unique experience, which will be remarkably distinct from the other potential exhibits. My exhibit will not just provide information about minority groups but will also allow visitors to encounter the journey and struggles of people of minority. My design equally includes opportunities for visitors to learn, think, and experience. Hence, why my design should be chosen to represent minority groups at Expo 17’.
Certainly, it was fitting to be inclusive not only to woman but all people who have been affected by such inappropriate behavior. More importantly, creating a safe place for people who like many others needed more time to reveal their
Also the age range was surprising, I was expecting to see all older adults but the age range was actually a very wide range. I would say from early twenties on up to late sixties. Male to females range was about equal, there were slightly more males in attendance at the meeting, which
No one without a racist agenda refers to the black community as “colored people” anymore. As issues change with time, so should the organizations’ titles that are geared towards solving them. The title “ The League of Women Voters” depicts an organization different from the one that actually exists. In advertising, we refer to this as “branding” and the League of Women Voters is simply not living up to the “brand name” as an organization.
This intersectionality doesn’t only include African American women, but all multicultural women. To ignore the vital role of women’s dreams and accomplishments that plays in our own lives would be a great mistake. That’s why it is important that we recognize all women. We draw strength from those who came before us- and those remarkable women working among us today in all fields of work. Black history month and women’s history month is crucial to the history of America, but without inclusiveness we will forget what the months actually were created for.

In the book, The Sunflower, Simon Wiesenthal shares stories of his experience as a Jew living through the Holocaust. Varda uses motifs of mirrors and reflections to primarily illustrate Cleo’s inner and outward sentiment. For instance, in Chapter 1, viewers are presented with an attractive woman who finds her inner self breaking down because of her ailment. Here, Varda uses mirrors to cleverly illustrate its egotistical nature. This is exemplified when Cleo uses mirrors to re-assure her apparent outer beauty, while simultaneously alluding to ugliness as a physical manifestation of death. These reflections of physical attractiveness, well-being and energy illustrate Cleo’s perception of herself and her surrounding world.
As I reflect on the past 15 months of attending CCU. I recall the excitement, and the overwhelming stress of having to work full time and attend online college. I was not sure that I could complete my degree at fifty years old. Because of being out of school for over 30 years. I was somewhat reluctant to give it a try.
Without the knowledge of self there is no knowledge of God (Cron & Stabile, 2016). When I began reading the book, this quote had stood out to me, it highlights what knowing about yourself is all about. Before beginning this assignment or even opening the book, I had briefly heard about the Enneagram—it was another personality quest of what one is. Personally, I love knowing about personalities and just trying to know who I am, and wanting to know why I do the things that I do.

Monuments Men is a fairly recent film with the premise of a group of soldiers during World War II tasked with protecting the artwork within the continental Europe from those who want to take it. It primarily centers on the story of Frank Stokes, played by George Clooney, and how he is able to assemble a ragtag group of “soldiers” and actually enter the frontlines. Over the course of the story, the group loses a few members, but do manage to discover the stashes of art hidden by Hitler and save it from destruction, including the Ghent Altarpiece and the Lady Madonna.
