The book Carrie, written by Stephen King, is story about a high school girl named Carrietta “Carrie” White, who possesses unique powers know as telekinesis and how her high school classmates make fun of her up until she gets revenge on all who made her the “butt” of the jokes. Carrie is a very shy girl who does not like to stand up for herself. When it comes to other people, particularly girls, they bully and tease her about the way she looks, dresses, and her personal hygiene. It all began in 1st period P. E. class while Carrie was in the shower and suddenly realized blood is dripping down her legs. Since prom was in a few days she decided to go to a fabric shop and get some fabric for the dress she was going to make. When she came home she hid the fabric because momma does not like red, she thinks red is the Devils’ color. When momma wasn’t home one day, she started to make her dress, she was able to finish it in time before momma came home. On prom day. Her momma did not like the fact that she was going to prom, but Carrie was going to anyway. Susan Snell was not going because she did not want to, so she sent Tommy (her boyfriend) to go with Carrie, and he did. Neither was Chris Hargensen because of the locker room incident and was planning to dump pig blood on Carrie at prom when she won prom queen. When Tommy came to pick Carrie up she was wearing her nice red, velvet dress she had made. When Tommy saw her, he said she looked beautiful. When they had arrived at the prom everyone was starring at Carrie and kept telling her how pretty she was. She and Tommy went to go sit down at their designated table. Tommy had asked her to dance but she told him she did not know how. He said it was ok because he did not like to dance
