During the case of Sarah Taylor, I believe that she was treated more as an object rather than a person. This was because she was treated as property. There were several evidences that I gathered from the text to support this notion. The first evidence is from the statement of John Smith when he was accused by Captain Thomas Bradnoxx of privately detaining Sarah Taylor. Smith confessed that Taylor was in his house.

One trait Rayna Dubose used to overcome her obstacle is her courage. For example, in the article,” Against All Odds,” Keith Mills writes,” Struggle... Dubose’s ordeal was the superbowl of struggle…with artificial arms and leg, she had to relearn how to do everything all over again, walk, drive, eat, call, and type on a computer.” This shows that even though Rayna has gotten artificial legs and arms, she has the courage to continue to study because studying requires your brain not your arms or legs. Christina is a very intelligent, personable young woman and valued member of the Blackthorn Pipe Band. She has displayed excellent dedication and learning skills, and she has progressed from a beginner to a proficient bagpiper in an unusually short period.
As a young child, one of my favorite movies was Legally Blonde. I fell in love with the story of a bubbly girl attending a prestigious college and proving every doubt wrong. When I grew older and came to realize how hard she had to work to be a graduating student at Harvard University, I knew that I wanted to present her determination and efforts in everything I did in life. When the question posed “Why would you make make an ideal candidate for the AICE Program?” I was speechless and taken back that I could not give a prompt response to the question.
Miley Cyrus is a Role Model Long before Miley Cyrus was branded as a racist-hypersexualized-minstrel show, she was looked up to by millions of children across the United States. Many people know Miley for her role on Disney Channel's booming television series, "Hannah Montana," but lately she primarily gets acknowledged by backlash. The attention focused around Cyrus has been a vast amount of criticism. In 2013 Miley had a performance, on the VMA awards, accompanied by large African-American women shaking their rears, and a foam finger that rubbed everyone the wrong way. It was safe to say that performance was going to take a while for people to move past, but it still lives on in everyone's memory of Miley.
