California Gov. Jerry Brown signed an amendment covering libel retraction and damages last month, creating the consistent treatment of print and online publications. Assembly Bill 998 replaces the term “newspaper” with “daily or weekly news publication.” This alteration extends libel protections to online daily or weekly publications which were not protected under the original legislation. Section 1 of AB 998 states “it is the intent of the Legislature to ensure that weekly and online publications are afforded the same protection under Section 48a of the Civil Code as is afforded to a daily newspaper to the extent that the weekly and online publications perform the same news-disseminating function as a daily newspaper.”
La-Nee Davis remembers as a young girl always having a dog in the house. Her daddy was a dog lover and would oftentimes bring in strays that he found on the street. Fake service dogs reflect a bad image for the real ones, and “discriminate against or restrict access to disabled persons” (Colman). The recurring problem of these fake service dogs is well known to such a small percentage of the population, it is difficult to create a stable solution that will be effective for a long period of time.

(Fletcher,W 1971). Meanwhile advocates for this breed claim this specific breed is the most abused, tortured and abandoned breed in the U.S. They’re often difficult to adopt out due to their stigma caused by the media. When people are pushed for a deadline on their work, they tend to be stressed and rushed. The affect of having stressed out employees would affect a buisness in many negative ways, as well as the employees health. If the buisness would allow dogs at work, a dog could keep a person from stressing out with it's loving and playful nature. An employee of another local buisness made the statment, "If we could pet or play with our dogs during the course of our workday, we would probably feel better and show up to work more often." California is the “beauty of the eye of the beholder” since all people who come from different background, race, and religion are able to set their own dreams without being criticized. People especially immigrants have viewed California as the “land of opportunity,” which influenced them to leave everything behind in their hometown, to sacrifice their time and to focus on their dreams. Despite the fact that California was lauded as a utopian society, people soon found out that they were going through endeavors and couldn’t overcome them quickly as possible. In fact, Mr. Rawls wanted to express the grievances, struggles, and success that people endure in their rise to the California dream in his short essay, “California: A Place, A People,

This is why me absolutely must take a stand, if nothing else, a person can offer an hour of time to make sure that some animal somewhere feels loved and gets to see the sun, even if just once.
