Thank you for referring Lawrence Collins, a 56 year-old gentleman who works part-time in customer service at the MCG. Lawrence is also on a disability support pension. He is an ex-smoker of less than five pack years and does not consume alcohol. There is a long-standing history of diabetes that is currently managed with Lantus, Janumet and Forxiga. Other medications include Coversyl and Crestor. Concerning his sleep, Lawrence usually retires to bed at around 11.00pm to midnight and sleep onset latency can vary between 15 minutes to a couple of hours. Of late, it has been improved since Lawrence commenced using a nasal saline rinse kit. There is a history or snoring, but no witnessed apnoeas or nocturnal choking/gasping episodes. He reports nocturia at least a couple of times per night and generally wakes between 9.00am and 10.00am. He initially feels unrefreshed, but is not aware of any significant daytime somnolence.
