In December of 1674, John Sassamon set off to, allegedly, warn Governor Josiah Winslow that, “the Wampanag sachem (New England Indian hereditary leader) King Philip […] was preparing for war against the English settlers” (p. 1). Unfortunately, Sassamon did not return from his journey and, on January 29, 1675, was found dead in an icy pound with his “hat, a gun, and a brace of ducks” nearby (p. 1). On March 1, 1675, three Wampanoag Indians – Tobias, Mattashunnamo, and Wampapaquan – were indicted for Sassamon’s murder (p. 100). Based on New England’s legal system, Tobias, Mattashunnamo, and Wampapaquan did receive a fair trial in that the case was tried in a General Court, and not dealt with privately between the Indian groups as was customary (p. 103).

We’ll start with the use of sales representatives and how this relates to potential tax liability. P.L. 86-272 allows the use of sales representatives relating to interstate commerce without generating any net income tax related to tangible personal property within certain restrictions. For the sale to be protected under P.L. 86-272, the work of the sales representatives must be limited to solicitation- a mere “implicit invitation to an order” or “activities that are entirely ancillary to request for an order”. In Wisconsin Department of Revenue V. William Wrigley Jr. Co., the United States Supreme Court emphasized the nature of activities that would be considered ancillary under P.L. 86-272, “Solicitation of orders covers only the actual requests for purchases, or, at most, the actions absolutely essential to making those requests”. The operations of your sales force seem to be following this model where 1) they do not have the authority to accept any orders, and 2) they send the orders back to Ely, MN for them to be accepted and shipped.

That is another way how Neiman Marcus grew their company, celebrities shopping in their stores and causing attention to their company.

In 2002, he dated a Swiss exchange student named Lena Grunwald and was engaged to her, but their relationship was not well and Lena eventually broke up with him. Enraged by this, Rudnick raped and strangled her, then cut her body to pieces and entombed them in the wall of his great-aunt's house, where he was staying at. Rudnick later called Yates to help treat the wounds he sustained during the attack, and Yates gave him tips on how to kill his next victim: by keeping her alive for as long as possible and to fracture her skull to incapacitate her.
“Regardless of what artists may think about this shift in the music industry, there’s no arguing that they need to adapt in order to make money” (Carter 5). Endorsement deals play a big role in a musician’s career. Currently people are debating about whether or not artists should allow advertisers to use their music in promotions. Artists should allow their music to be in commercials because advertising keeps a musician financially stable and helps them reach a wider audience. Generally speaking, allowing corporations to use a musician’s music in advertising keeps artists financially stable.

Artists should use their music in advertising because they will be able to make larger sums of money in addition to gaining popularity. A important reason artists should put their music in ads is because they will be able to make more money. According to Carter, data journalist David McCandless says that "a signed solo artist would need about 5,478 iTunes downloads of a song per month versus 4,200,000 YouTube streams per month just to make the U.S. minimum wage." This clearly shows that artists do not make enough money from just streaming music. As people move more toward music streaming, artists will continue to earn less money.
