In ethical problem four a tragic crime has occurred. David cash saw a seven year old getting sexually assaulted by his friend Jeremy Jeremy. Cash did not do anything about the incident. This was led to call for a Samaritan law. Although, it was not Cash’s obligation to report the incident he should be punished. Sherrice who was sexually assaulted by Jeremy was killed. Sherrice was supposed to be watched by her older brother Harold. When Sherrice walked into the restroom Sherrice was then attacked by Jeremy where she had wandered off while in the casino. David Cash walked into the restroom minutes later after Jeremy entered. Cash’s behavior was awful. He spoke to some reporters and told them he would not loose sleep over someone he did not know. He also said he did not dwell on Sherrices death. He mentioned how the only person he was worried about was himself not anyone else. Cash faced people who would call him a bad Samaritan for not helping Sherrice. According to the article, authorities said there was not enough evidence to collect so that he could be charged. However, back then there was no Samaritan law in Nevada. So Cash was free while Jeremy was sentenced life in prison. However David was should have been pleaded guilty on a moral level. Cash could have saved Sherrice’s life by simply letting someone know of the situation. Regardless, if he knew Sherrice or not, or that he knew Jeremy and was his friend, if you see a human being sexually assaulted as a good Samaritan they are supposed to help each other.
