Throughout the 20th century, the question “Is college worth it?” has echoed in and out of school halls, over the family kitchen table, and throughout the media for decades. College education has been seen as the norm and is highly encouraged and has also been seen as a path to all socioeconomic classes and beyond. The benefits of having a college degree are enormous and have been viewed as a standard of living and career advancement. Recent statistics and studies have, however highlighted the massive student debt and an increasing wave in college student dropouts. As evaluated, college will be beneficial to many people and they will experience a positive consequence over their years of education.
