Poverty In the United States: Causes and Effects
In the United States, Poverty is as huge of an issue for so many individuals and states. Some states have it more severe than other countries. People are begging for help, for food, shelter, a warm shower.
Causes For Poverty:
There is so much of poverty range from all different aspects. There aren't enough jobs to accommodate every individual's level of education or experience. The minimum wages are not high enough to support today's families. In every state the minimum wage is different, but housing is more or possibly less.
There is a lack of affordable housing. Rents are way too much money. People just can't do it

People say they forget their problems doing that, but what they don't realize it makes matters worse. Spending the only income people make on drugs and alcohol, will leave individuals with no money. They will be in a worse situation.
The lack of education is a leading cause. The lower class can not afford to go to college or a trade school. Without a good education, it's very hard to get a decent, well-paying job. Most employer's look for that extra schooling.
Becoming ill and accumulating doctor bills, hospital bills, and medicine expenses become outrageously expensive. If an individual has no health insurance of any kind, they are responsible for paying those bills back. With insurance at least it would help. Most people can not afford to pay a monthly premium.
Effects of Poverty:
The effect poverty causes are, families become homeless and hungry. People will begin to start stealing. People will end up living on the streets, in the woods, and in shelters if there is room for them. Without shelter, you can't shower, sleep, or cook meals.
