Children in poverty make up thirty-nine percent of the population, and most of these children do not receive a good education because their parents cannot afford to send them to anything but a public school. Not all parents are unhappy with the education the public schools are giving their children. Some parents are very happy with the education their child is receiving, and do not want to send their child to a private school. There are many more organizations out there that want to help poor children get a better education, but the federal government won't help all the states in need of getting a loan of money to better improve the children of that state's minds.

There is a history of poverty in America. Human beings lived in colonies and tried to survive by collecting things from their environment, then they would settle down in a certain territory and start their own life. Even in these early stages the idea of poverty exists because people are classified by the surroundings and place where they live and by their gender. After many of years the amount of people suffering from poverty has continued to increase. The number of people living below the poverty line increased step by step with the input of capitalism. This leads to serious problems in their adulthood, because instead of being a normal teenager they were out working or taking care of their siblings. Dropout rates of 16 to 24-years-old students who come from low income families are seven times more likely to drop out than those from families with higher incomes. Children who come from a low income family don't get the necessary items they need to succeed in school, unlike other children that live in high income families.
