The American Civil war was a war between the states of the north and the states of the south, it was a civil was that was fought in the United States from 1961 to 1965. The main cause of the war was slavery, which since the USA occurred in the 1700s, has created a huge distinction between the slave state in the south and the free states in the North. Early in 1861, the conflict led to that seven of the southern states were detached and established the Confederate States of America. The northern states, the USA, did not accept the detachment, and after a military force attacked Fort Sumter in South Carolina, the war was going on. The most famous of these wars is the “seven years’ war” which ruled that Britain took over North America. As people came to America, the number of colonies increased. On July 4, 1776, America was no longer dependent on England, and the Declaration of independence was signed. The declaration states that “all people are created equal”, which we later learn that the people in southern states took a strong distance to.
