Cece’s partial deafness interferes with her ability to develop relationships with others; friends and family. Cece isn’t treated like other kids in school and at home. Things could be more difficult for Cece due to her partial deafness. Cece is sometimes manipulated. Many people make fun of Cece because of her hearing aids. Next Cece isn’t treated like other kids in school and at home. On pg 64 through mostly the end of the book a girl named Ginny is talking to Cece weirdly. This evidence supports my claim because Ginny treats Cece differently. When Ginny talks to Cece she talks very slow. When Ginny talks to Laura in anger and normally. This isn’t really fair because Cece’s trying to act like others and fit in, but with Ginny speaking like that she feels way different. Next this makes Cece think that Ginny is trying to be rude because she only talks to Cece like that. In addition to that things could be more difficult for Cece due to her partial deafness. My evidence for this is that on pg. 170 through pg. 174 Mr Pots drops Cece’s hearing aids and Cece couldn’t hear normally in class after p.e.. My evidence is that on pg 211 Mike Miller tells Cece “ When Mrs. Singleman leaves today for Quiet math, you can use your stuff to listen out for her. We can all have fun until you tell us she’s coming back! You’ll be a hero!My evidence shows that Mike Miller is using the word hero to make Cece believe she is one. This supports my claim because Mike Miller is using her hearing aids to do something wrong. Cece doesn’t notice she’s being more of a guard dog than a hero. One reason why she couldn’t say no to him is because Cece has a huge crush on Mike Miller so if he asked her to do anything for him she probably would.Lastly because of this people might be better friends with her, but for what she is capable of not for who she
