What makes America so great? Is it our free public schools, so everybody has the chance for an education. Is it our great medical care, so everyone knows that they are safe when they become sick. Or is it our right to free speech that we are granted as citizens, so everybody has the right speak their minds and express what they feel. When we have freedom of speech we are allowed to be ourselves. Freedom of speech is one of our rights. This is why people become angry when rights are taken from them. This here is called censorship. Censorship should not be allowed in our communities today because does not allow people to express themselves. One of the greatest things about a person is their creativity. Creativity has no (boundaries). It is used to express a person's ideas, thoughts, and beliefs. Although some people create images that are horrifying to see and send a bad message, they “Art needs to be viewed as art and not some sort of subversive or pornographic graphic.” (Lenhart). Lenhart (justifies) that people assume the worst when they see something new to them. In art there are images that people may think of as inappropriate and wrong, although what they are seeing is just art. Artist have different eyes than the average person. They see the inner beauty in things and objects. What may be lines on a paper to us is a masterpiece to them. We need to look past the general picture, and dig deeper into the meaning. things might always be as they seem “While art can be defined as something beautiful and inspiring, fine art usually entails things that are personal to the artist.”(Lenhart).
