I take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as Arshdeep Singh Sidhu aspiring to pursue my Masters of Management for Engineers from Central Queensland University (CQU), Australia. My father is a retired government teacher and my mother is a homemaker. I have two sisters and both are married. My father has been a constant source of inspiration for me as he leads his life with a great sense of dignity.

After completing my 10th grade in 2008 with 69% from Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), I opted for a 3 year diploma in engineering and scored 58.73% in the year 2012. During my under graduation, I realized that although, I like engineering but I am also inclined towards management moreover Australia is safe for students. I started researching about universities in India who could provide me with option to pursue both my interests at the same time, not many universities were offering such a pogram, few universities who did offer me such option were fairly average universities with hardly any recognition. I than researched about Canada as an option but the option given was of diplomas, I always wanted to get a Masters degree thus Canada could not be my preference, Australia became the best option as they offered degrees which have international recognition and I found many universities offering amalgamation of Engineering and Management. The field involves the application of the principles of engineering to plan and execute the management of various industries and organizations. People and Organisation which requires getting the work done by others in the organsisation effectively, operations management which involves backend work ,working on reports, meeting, Accounting for management decision making will include keeping budgetary requirements in mind and than taking financial decisions,dispensing of budgets for marketing activities,cost control.

Engineering management field intrigues me a lot because it provides technical leadership roles. I aspire to become a proficient engineering manager so that I can understand the specific demands of a project. For fulfilling this aspiration of mine, a constant up gradation of knowledge and skills is required and that can only be possible if I delve into the depths of engineering management.All these skills will help me find good jobs during my post study work permit in Australia and I can look forward to work with companies like Fulton Hogan (Adelaide), Endeavour Energy
