In Cesar Chavez’s article, he had heavily expressed his opinion about how to resolve a problem without being violent. He believed that there were many other ways to powerfully express your opinion without violence. Resisting violence is much more powerful than using violence. Violence makes people incredibly scared of you. They would do anything to not see you. There are people that would resort to violence as their view of the only solution, as they were just not looking hard enough. Nonviolence shows that you have morals, and that enables people to believe you and approve of your opinion and agree to more of what you say. People will be more willing to see you as someone that is smart and as someone you should listen to such as Martin Luther King Jr. King had a strong belief in nonviolence and that problems could easily be solved in a different way. Others may have seen what the result of violence is and avoid being violent because of that. It depends on how you see the situation, and your point of view.
