Chapter Summary: The Adventures Of Todd And Viola's Poem

The adventures of Todd and Viola continue and heighten the farther I read into this novel. In this section, Todd and Viola have finally reunited and assented to run away. Unfortunately, they’re caught by the Mayor and sent back with Todd receiving a beating as punishment. Bombs have been set off all over town and Corrine helped Viola escape. I will be clarifying The Answer, Predict how Violas journey will go, and visualize the bombs in the city.

The Answer is a rebel group of mostly women against the Mayor. The Mistress healers are leaders in the group. Many women disappeared during the night, leaving behind some patients, Viola, and an apprentice named Corrine. Bombs had been placed all over town in inactive areas. There had been a few casualties from people who weren’t supposed to be there. The group sent a note to Viola saying, “My Girl, Now is the time you must choose. Can we count on you?”(Ness 191) When Viola finally ran away with Corrine’s help, she ran into Mistress Coyle, a leader of The Answer, at the communications tower right before it blew up from another bomb. …show more content…

The two had normally fed off of each other’s energy and used a combination of skills from both. This time she is alone and must make every decision herself. She doesn’t have the supplies from her ship this trip either. Not to mention that there are many soldiers around town recently because of the abundance of bombings in town.
