He showed an adequate effort to participate in the session. Rapport was established and adequately maintained throughout the duration of the session. Char’darius stated that his day was going well. He reported that he enjoyed the sessions with the MHP. His foster mother reported that his behavior was improving. She stated that she was thankful for the sessions. She mentioned that she wants her sons to make good grades this school year. Char’darius stated that he thinks he can earn good grades if he focuses more on school. He mentioned that he still struggle in some areas as it relates to school. He stated that he hopes to build meaningful relationships with his peers this school year. Char’darius informed the MHP that he mother purchased him some shoes for school. His mother stated that she needs assistance with purchasing his school clothes. Char’darius communicated to the MHP that he plans to maintain honor status this school year. He stated that he will take ownership of his academic performance. He informed the MHP that his study habits were getting better. He mentioned that he is going to start back studying with his brother. Char’darius conveyed a positive attitude towards the strategies to improve his study skills. He appeared to enjoy learning about the different test-taking strategies.
