In the book “My Brother Sam is Dead” a father and son argue about whether or not to fight in the Revolutionary War. The son Sam wants to fight for America's freedom but the father, Life, thinks differently. Life had seen the destruction of war first hand. Plus fighting in this war would mean breaking laws and committing treason against Britain which is punishable by hanging. Life was right to be against letting Sam fight and against the whole war itself.
