Yes, The Brother is responsible for Doodle’s death. He was never supportive for his brother when he needed his help the most, he knew Doodle was going to die soon anyway, and he never accepted Doodle for himself. The Brother was never supportive for Doodle when he needed his help the most. I heard Doodle, who had fallen behind, cry out, “Brother, Brother, don’t leave me! Don’t leave me! Doodle’s brother had left him out in the rain while he was struggling to catch up. “I ran as fast as I could leaving him far behind.”The Brother has left Doodle knowing he has a horrible disease that has taken over Doodle’s body. He knows that it’s wrong, so why is he doing this.“I won’t touch it,” he said sullenly. “Then I’ll leave you here by yourself,” I threatened, and made as if I were going down. “One day I took him up to the barn loft and showed him his casket, telling him how we all believed he would die.” Why would he foreshadow upon Doodle’s death, is he doing this to make Doodle lose hope or is he doing this to make Doodle believe that there is a way he can live. I believe that he is doing this to make Doodle lose hope because he is showing no affection for Doodle whats so ever. “I would teach him how to run, to swim, to climb trees, and to fight.” He is pushing Doodle to hard, which has its ways of teaching a lesson to brother. Doodle just learned to walk and he is already interested in teaching Doodle other tricks he can’t do.
