“I mean to deny nothing!” This is what John Proctor said when he was asked by Rev. Danforth if he would deny his confession after he is free. John Proctor, a middle aged man is accused of witchcraft because of suspicion from the people in the village. He was executed by hanging even tho he could of gotten out of it by lying and confessed about being a witch. John and I are leaders in some ways. An example of how i am a leaders is that i and the leader in my band. I make some of the set lists and i also help get shows. John Proctor is also a leader because he didn't let his execution go against his puritan ways, and people in the village probably looked up to him. Another example of me being a leader is i am good with people, i can also make friends easily so when people can trust me to help them with things and be a leader.
The last characteristic we share is that we are both outcasts. One way i'm an outcast is how i don't follow the crowd, i also don't do a lot of things most people do. I don't wear clothing that is popular because that doesn't really matter to me. I don't like popular music either. I listen to what i like because that's how i am. John Proctor is also an outcast because he doesn't go to church regularly. He also never had his children baptized, and a lot of people think that is bad. Another thing he does is he works on sundays. The people in village despised that.
Independent, leadership, and being an outcast are the traits that John Proctor and I have in common. I believe that if i was in his shoes during the salem witch trials i would of left town because i probably would of got
