Charles Darwin Research Paper

Charles Robert Darwin, also known as Charles Darwin, was a British naturalist, geologist, biologist, and an author. He was famous for his contributions to the science of evolution. He was born on February 12, 1809 and resided in The Mount,Shrewsbury,Shropshire, England. He died on April 19, 1882 at the age of 73. He was once a doctor apprentice; however, he neglected his studies which caused him to study for a Bachelor of Arts degree. After he dropped out from medical school, he realized that he had more passion for biology and geology. Fortunately, John Henslow was able to help Darwin to get into the expedition that was going around the world on what would ultimately become a five year voyage (O’Neil). Darwin was eventually able to persuade his father to pay for his passage. There, he met Captain Fitzroy, who owned over 400 books on science and geology, which he shared to Darwin. For this reason, Charles Darwin became interested and read Charles Lyell’s “Principles of Geology”. Therefore, he came up with the conclusion that uniformitarianism was the reason behind Earth’s geological history. There he made some research and made records of observations. Aside from examining various places, he also made some observation of natural phenomenons. He realized that Lyell was right, so he came back to England. In 1859, Charles Darwin studied and researched multiple scientific studies on his own; hence, he discovered the theory of evolution. On the same year, he published his book Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection. He stated his theory and arguments about all the living things. “He no longer thought of life as different lines of ancestry, but as a single tree, branching and rebranching”
