Charles Darwin spent years upon years researching and experimenting his theory of natural selection and evolution. During the 1800’s Darwin had this belief that all living things arose from one common ancestor, however by saying this meant that he was questioning God’s creation of living things. Many were against Darwin when they heard this theory, because they were strong believers in God, and if they questioned that God is the creator, then everything they have ever believed in will no longer be true. Over the next couple of years, Darwin secretly experiments and creates theories to prove that natural selection and evolution is true. He creates a lot of evidence to prove what he is saying, however he is often doubted by friends, enemies, and
family.

Owen becomes angry with Darwin because Owen believes he was painted wrong in the book, and he seems not as he is in person. Owen also doesn’t believe that selection is only only possible creative law. Owen then continues to say the book is an insult to humanity. Wilberforce believes that Darwin is crazy, and there is no way that humans could EVER be related to an animal. He believed Darwin's theory was incompatible with God, and it can’t be proven. However Huxley says there is not much of any difference between man and gorilla, and anyone who has studied gorilla brains and human brains can vouch for him. Since Darwin’s book has been published, there have been many new findings. Fossils of human ancestors have been found with crazy ape like features. The DNA from apes and humans have also been compared and they have about 98% similarity within the DNA strands. As strands between both species are separated, they can both join together to each other almost perfectly forming a double helix. Apes also are observed and have the same learning capabilities as humans do. Today, many believe evolution is a beautiful thing, and it’s actually an honor to be united with life on our
