Biography of Charles F. Stanley
Dr. Charles Stanley was born in Dry Fork, Virginia on September 25, 1932. Charley and Rebecca Stanley became the parents of a baby boy. Nine months after his birth, his father died at the age of 29 leaving his mother to raise their only child. Stanley was married to Anna Stanley and had a son name Andy. After forty years of marriage the couple was divorced. In spite his difficulties and circumstances in life. Stanley dedicated his life to God’s word. At an early age, Stanley made a commitment to serve God and to preach his word.1

He wanted people to know and experience the assurance of your heavenly father’s unconditional love. He wanted readers to know the truth that would set them free from guilt and fear of being lost. In all actually, they didn’t lost their salvation but they lost their assurance. For some people, the problem is false teaching and for others the problem is guilt. Dr. Stanley explained how people have misinterpreted scriptures concerning falling from grace. He explained what it means to fall from grace. Many people thought the phrase “falling from grace” meant losing one’s salvation. In the chapter, the author explained when Paul spoke to Galatians about falling from grace. He was not telling them that they had lost their salvation. He was explaining that they did not receive salvation by works and the law. People from around the world was asking Dr. Stanley about how they felt close to God but now they don’t feel the closeness they once felt. The majority of these people felt that they had lost or had to do something to keep their salvation.
