Edwin Maximiliano 8th grade ELA/ 1st period Ms. Christie day/month/full year 28/02/2023 After the accident Restart written by Gordan Korman is a realist piece of young adult fiction literature. Chase Ambrose was a bully before he fell off of his roof leading him to develop amnesia. Chase transformed his reputation of being through many obstacles. In restart, Chase intentionally makes multiple changes throughout Restart such as: his perspective, his behavior, and his charter Chase’s perspective changes in a very important way. He sees the way that he must have treated others in the past and decided to no longer be that person. In chapter two it states, “I also get some strange looks and a few kids meet my eyes and then furtively look away. (Korman,21)” This quote shows that although Chase has amnesia, he recognized the fact that people were looking at him funny. After the pep rally, Chase sees a football player bullying Brendon, a nerd, which causes Chase to push Joey into the lockers away from Brendon. According to the chapter, “There's a blur of motion, and suddenly Joey Petronus is slammed up against the wall by two fistfuls of his football jersey. It’s Chase!
