By: Bailey L. I am going to start my essay off by telling you about my first time doing cheer and what I am doing now.I started off tumbling in Augusta, Ga at A.C.A (Augusta Cheer Academy). About 2 years later, my mother found out that A.C.A did a cheer camp in the summer for a week for all ages and she signed me up for it. I loved it, it was very fun because the coaches were nice we learned new cheers, they taught us how to do flips, and I met new people. After the week was over I knew that I wanted to do more cheer.
My mother looked for places for me to do a cheer at, but she couldn’t find any, a few years later we moved here. I was so excited in sixth grade when I found out that they had cheered at the school, but you had to wait until seventh grade to try out. I was eagerly waiting all year in sixth grade. When cheer tryouts came the next year I was the first one waiting to try out. The first day there was a lot of paperwork to be done, but after the coaches organized it all they had some of the JV girls come from the high school to teach us some cheers and a dance. The second day of the cheer tryouts I recorded some videos that I could use so that I could practice. When I got home that night my

Later that day when it was my turn to show the coaches what I could do, I really pushed myself to the best that I could possibly do. Then I went out into the gym with the rest of the people that had tried out. About 15 minutes later the coaches called us all back into the auditorium and started calling names of who had made the team and, then my name was finally called and I was super excited! After the season was over (volleyball and football) we had a big party, then everybody left when the year was over, and I started eighth grade they announced that they were having cheer tryouts I tried out and of course gave it my all and made the team
