Finally, my third change will be taking a more energetic approach to furthering my education, so I am able to have the skills I need to make effective decisions with the two-up, two-down approach in mind (Schmalz, 2015, np). The conch shell was the first discovered by Piggy and was used as a symbol of order and law, but throughout the novel the idea of order and law changed. Piggy’s specs were used as a source of fire by using science and intellect, but when the specs broke everything became blurry just like Piggy’s vision.
Betsy has leadership skills that are a notch higher. For instance, she founded and chairs the Windquest Group, and American Federation for Children among other organizations such as Kennedy Center, Kids Hope USA, and ArtPriza. I tried to avoid looking at the other teams practicing as I walked to the arena, I needed to focus on my routine. When I entered the HP Field House filled with 11,000 cheerleaders and spectators, my stomach sank and nerves hit me instantly. I started running through our routine and warming up stunts and tumbling. Overall, women form a significant part of the labour force, but the pipeline breaks somewhere between middle management and the c-suite (the top executives). This break in the pipeline is caused by various issues including organizations failing to recognize and identify their own glass ceilings and developing appropriate solutions that not only destroy the glass ceiling but also rectify their leadership pipelines. Most importantly, the presence of high-status female managers has a huge impact on gender inequality in the workplace, women in positions of authority get to make decisions on issues including gender pay gap and diversified hiring practices. However, this break in the pipeline limits women’s access to leadership positions and “employees just don’t see enough women in leadership positions at their companies” (Coffman,
