Debra, Thank you for your post. Your description of Seven Counties Services as an organization that aides individuals “who are fighting addictions, abuse, mental illness, and developmental disabilities” is remarkable (Mrock, 2016, para.1). What a wonderful organization. Crutchfield and Grant (2012) stated that “high-impact nonprofits engage in both direct service and advocacy”(p.49). It is clear from your post that Seven Counties Services provide a service to the individuals whom it engages.
Besides the new civic organizations, there has been an influx of nonprofit organizations and support groups. Secondary associations tend to be nonprofits; nonetheless because of the uprising in nonprofit organizations it’s a mistake to assume that nonprofit agencies carry secondary association. Additionally, because the whole “a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square” analogy pertains to nonprofits, conceptually we can’t use the trend between nonprofit organizations and social connectedness. Support groups are dissimilar in a way that it is a method of social connectedness but still does not provide the same properties as traditional civic associations. Putnam refers to Robert Wuthnow regarding support groups, “small groups merely provide occasions for individuals to focus on themselves in the presence of others” (Putnam, “Bowling Alone: America’s Declining Social Capital” p. 390).
It was spectacular to learn that Keystone Community Services is a non-profit organization. The funding sources and mission of Keystone Community Services was intriguing and powerful to see an organization that strives to improve a quality of life. In addition, it was amazing to learn about the multi-services program provided under Keystone Community Services. However, I reconsidered and would like to point a change in the organizations. As I understand not only do Keystone Community Services own community reach out, but other nearby communities reach out Keystone assistances.
The spiritual and moral growth of non-governmental assistance conforms to his religious background that helped dictate his policy of voluntarism saying “I cannot conceive of a wholesome social order or a sound economic system that does not have its roots in religious faith.” As mentioned above his faith stressed moral voluntarism to bring aid to those who cannot help themselves,
The Salvation Army is a well-known and long-established organization with its own set of principles and beliefs, often associated with its Christian roots. To mitigate this drawback, it is essential for both parties to conduct through research and align their values and goals before entering into partnership. By leveraging their respective strengths and resources, The Salvation Army and Global Mind can create a meaningful and impactful partnership that supports those in need while fostering goodwill and community
This is why African American men choose to seek help from their faith organizations, because its free (Maliski, 2010). To overcome this issue, social workers should be aware of the client’s socioeconomic status (Ahaghotu, 2015). If the social worker is aware of the status of the client, then the client can be better served. The social worker should know if the client needs medical referrals to lower cost clinics. The social worker should also be aware of the insurance status of the client (Ahaghotu, 2015).
Since 1789, the founding and ratification of the original thirteen state constitution of the United States has revolutionized its government in order to protect its citizens as new advancements are made to benefit inhabitants of the recent New World. Since then the constitution was amended in order to gratify the needs of the people. Throughout the paradigm shift on the ideal of government, it is crucial to expound any modifications by means of bureaucracy. One of the difficulties of the shift that is directed toward the 21st century is the understanding the transition of improved government and its benefits for the delivery of human services. The government uses power, democracy, and politics to exercise their control by establishing new laws,
Social justice agendas can be advanced through many outlets as individuals, communities and organizations who advocate for social justice. Many nonprofit organizations usually pursue their social justice missions through the programs and services that they provide to their consumers. An example of a social justice issue that can be addressed through services provided by an organization is the rising rates of poverty and homelessness within a community. A nonprofit organization that concentrates on helping the homeless population by offering services and programs that help them find safe, affordable and stable housing first. They can then build individual capacity through education or vocational training, as well as other supportive services,

The terms "clients," "patients," and "consumers" will mean something different to a person who has no knowledge about those terms used for individuals at human service organizations. I can not speak for everyone, but if I was not pursuing a career in social work, and knew nothing about it, I would think of those terms as someone who is sick. An individual who has some type of illness he/she may have. It would be in a way as to me judging an individual based on those terms, without trying to research, or gain knowledge about those terms and the reasons to them. I would have the mindset of those type of individuals being in and receiving services in a mental institution.

charity is always good, but not everyone. Some argue that charity is sometimes carried out badly, while others think that charity can bring bad results even when it is well implemented. Charity may not provide the best solution to a problem. For every act of charity, applied to heal suffering arising from defective arrangements of society, serves to weaken the personal springs of social reform. Charity to support essential services is bad because it switches provision from government to charity, rather than increasing benefits to the needy.
Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) in many ways contribute to sustainable development in different developing countries. For example, In the face of the weakness of the Nigerian state and the inefficiency of its institutions to provide the human good to its citizens, the Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) supplement and complement government’s efforts towards improving the standard of living of Nigerians. FBOs promotes rural and urban development especially in areas of rural development, agriculture, water and sanitation, micro-finance and livelihoods development and training (Joseph, N.D, 10). According to Omobolaji Olarinmoye, “FBOs in Nigeria provide health and educational services through their hospitals, clinics and maternities, schools and colleges, vocational training centers, seminaries and universities”. Therefore, religion should be included as one of the most important social variables for development in most of African
