Introduction Founded in 1984, the Ark Aid Street Mission is an organization who serves individuals who live on the margins of society. Known as a popular charity, The Ark is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency which is supported by a variety of people and associations such as churches and businesses. Staff, volunteers, and donors are all motivated by Christian faith, and express kindness, and love to individuals who need it most. The work and ministry of the Ark is dedicated to helping anyone who is need, regardless of colour, race, and ethnicity. The organization provides holistic services for the whole person, encouraging and helping individuals to discover or rediscover individual values.
Our group has decided to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children(FMSC) which was founded in 1987. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Its mission is to feed God’s starving children in different countries who are hungry in body and spirit. Their process is simple. Donations from people fund the meal ingredients and volunteers hand-pack the meals.
We will strive to clothe and feed the homeless as well as get as many in-need individuals jobs to help build up our community as a whole. Our name will be recognized as the Dallas Homeless Relief. I'm not going to ask you to donate money. I know thats not possible for every person. But we can still help by donating items that women and children need when going to the shelter. This includes clothes, food, hygiene products, and more. A simple box or bag of old clothes
The organization aims to ‘balance the playing field’ between current conditions (rising homeless populations’) and desired conditions (everyone can be a functioning, productive member of society). By achieving this goal the nonprofit validates the ‘need’ for its organizations existence. The Salvation Army US (2018) describes the purpose/goals of their organization as follows: “We work with councils and local providers to cater to the immediate needs of people affected by homelessness, signposting other services they can access. We act as a bridge between vulnerable adults and the help they need by taking time to listen (The Salvation Army, 2018, paragraph 1).”
The people who lost their jobs had issues paying for mandatory items. They fell under the poverty line. Soup kitchens served food for these people. The food wasn’t much, but for a person without money it helped. Soup kitchens often served bread, coffee, and a small bowl of soup.
Although most of my involvement has centered around politics, where I have been an active volunteer in the current election cycle, my service also extends to the homeless community in the Quad Cities. After recognizing the extent of homelessness in Davenport, my friend decided to start a nonprofit 5K to benefit a local shelter and I immediately joined in the venture. By working with the shelter rather than independently, we were able to avoid the faults set forth in To Hell With Good Intentions. Our good intentions have donated over $10,000 to King’s Harvest Ministries, who uses funds in a way that raises the standard of living for the local homeless

Veteran’s Benefits Veteran’s pay a heavy price for our freedom, but do we in turn repay them back? Once veteran’s return home they receive several benefits, such as education, disability compensation, and low-cost medical care. Each are specific due to how they benefit each veteran, but not all are capable of fully providing the veteran. Veterans receive benefits based on discharge from active military service other than dishonorable conditions. Active service must be serving full time as a member under several branches, Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, or as a commissioned officer of the Public Health Service, Environmental Services Administration or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Food banks receive a lot of food during certain times of the year, like holidays, and they need someone to sort the food. Donating money to food banks is also great. Food banks can often buy produce from farmers, or food that is not sold from grocery stores. This way, people can now receive nourishing food from food banks, instead of canned food.
People that are currently in a genocide war zone are living in fear, fear of being killed, tortured, or fear of losing everything they have. As the genocide goes by people would have seen the murders of children and families, bombings in villages, people getting separated from their families, and so much more. As a result of this many people can be haunted by memories or be traumatized for years. By sending the US troops to a region in this situation they can protect and guard the innocent people and the US troops can also provided medical aid to the injured and provided food and shelter to those who have none. Today, the US army helps people by giving them food and shelter after any major natural disaster for example the US arm provided supplies to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
I have spent my whole life hearing about how children around the world are going hungry every night and sleeping on the streets. It is a very important issue that needs to be addressed more there are kids in other countries who have nothing and no one. People don’t like to address the issue because it is too hard to accept just how sad of situation they are in or who people who want to help but just don’t know how .But as hard as it is to accept that there really are kids who have it rough who need as much help as they can get. Now yes there are organizations out there that are made to help these kids like Andre House of Hospitality Formed in 1984 by two Holy Cross priests From Notre Dame.
The community's animal shelter is running dangerously low on food and other supplies. THe animal shelter can not take care of the animals without the needed supplies. Volunteers of the animal shelter are worried about what will happen to the animals, if the shelter does run out of supplies.
