Child labor is over all hands down immensely irresponsible. There is absolutely no reason why any underage child should be used for the manufacturing of products. Especially with help possibly from the U.S. not purchasing products from these despicable companies. As the U.S, knowingly we should no longer support the mistakes that continue to occur with the abusive businesses.
Of course the U.S shall no longer allow this form of child abuse to continue. But there is no way we could completely stop illegal child laboring. But there is a way we can quit supporting the issue. “Saga estimates that as many as 20,000 families could be affected, since 70 percent of the local market relies on them for work.” according to “ Nike’s Dilemma: Is doing the right thing wrong?” As depending on the text, the reasoning based on illegal laboring coming to an end is so that not only the U.S but even more countries and states quit purchasing from these companies in order to help the children and finally give them the childhood rights they deserve. How could someone trust underage kids? Children under the age of sixteen wouldn’t know exactly how to work in the real world. Not only that, but depending on kids to control a system? No way! The potential dangerous items that are most likely harmful could easily injure someone, nevermind a child! Who could ever put a child in that position? Children at home are always supervised at one point whether their parents are almost never home or constantly helicoptering their child. Manufacturing products by the use of children is a waste of time. just ruining kids’ lives! People should buy from manufacturers besides the child labor ones. Things are not worth damaging people’s lives
