The purpose of this research is to be helpful for improving early childhood teacher's professionalism by examining the current standard of core competency and request of educational that childhood teachers recognize. The first, children teachers recognized their standard as more than 'common', but it's difficult to consider they have sufficient competency. Therefore, systematic training program must be prepared for improving the standard of competency. Also, the standard of early childhood teacher's core competency is different by teacher's general characteristics, so it's difficult to expect standardized program which can be applied to all of teachers. And competency developing program customized to the standard of individual teacher must be developed. The second, the educational request of early childhood teacher's core competency was a little higher than 'necessary', so the educational request for early childhood teacher's core competency was relatively high. In addition, teacher's general characteristics is an important variable which makes an effect on the educational request of core competency, but the sector of core competency that educational request was high in the result of this research and order of sub-contents show lots of implications.
