Chris Kyle the Hero
Heroes don’t need to have super-powers such as shooting lasers out of your eyes, flying, or super-speed. They don’t need a wear a mask, a cape, or tight spandex and fight evil villains at night in order to be a hero. Heroes can be ordinary people like Chris Kyle, a member of the United States Navy Seal and the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history, with over 160 kills confirmed by the Department of Defense. Chris Kyle is my perfect example of a hero because his actions in the past few years have shown me that he is selfless by putting the safety of others before himself, devoted by spending a great deal of time his fellow troops on and off the battlefield, and watchful by protecting the people he cares about.
First of all, Chris Kyle is a selfless soldier that does not think twice about serving his country. Heroes do not run away to spare their lives when facing danger. Heroes should not have sympathy for terrorists who harm or threaten your colleagues, there should be no regrets. Chris only pulls the trigger once he confirmed his target as a threat to his people. He is not afraid of God punishing him for the people he has killed, for they were truly evil, but afraid of other sins he has committed. As stated by bbc.com, Chris says that “Every person I killed I strongly believe that they were bad. When I do go face God there is going to be lots of things I will have to account for, but killing any of those people is not one of them.” Chris is willing to do whatever it takes to support and protect his people. To be a hero, you need to be determined to stop anything or anyone that will harm the people you care
