Chris Kyle Chris Kyle killed a total of 160 people in Iraq. He was known as the most lethal sniper in American history. Chris led a simple life up until he joined the Navy SEALs(Sea, air and land). Chris Kyle was known as the “Devil of Ramadi” by Iraqi insurgents. Chris Kyle grew up as a cowboy and went into the military to become America's most lethal sniper before he was shot and killed in 2013. Chris Kyle was born in Odessa, Texas on April 8, 1974. His full name was Christopher Scott Kyle. In his early years, Chris’s father owned a feed store, which is where the family got most of their money. His family lived on a ranch so Chris and his brother always had a good time checking fences and cows while riding their horses. In high school, Chris became friends with the rodeo crowd, who got him into riding bulls at the age of sixteen. he soon found out, however, that he was awful at riding bulls and moved on to broncs (wild horses). He continued riding after high school in 1992 and went to college at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Chris Kyle met Taya in April of 2001 at a bar in San Diego named Maloney’s where they fell in love. Taya wanted a nice, caring, genuine man, and she got one. Even though Taya did not know that she would soon become Mrs. Kyle, Chris had a hunch that this was love at first sight. In the book, Chris says that he knows it sounds cheesy, but he fell in love with Taya as soon as he saw her (Kyle). Chris and Taya dated for several months before getting
